A Little About Me:
Hi! I’m Sydney, a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and owner of Made For This Counseling. The people I help tend to carry the impact of childhood or complex trauma, often from emotionally distant or unavailable caregivers.
I’m passionate about providing you with a comfortable space to begin to show your younger self some much deserved attention. Together, we’ll explore and gain insight as to how these automatic responses, such as people-pleasing, have developed and how they still show up today.
My goal is to help you move forward with confidence and clarity, feel more at ease within your relationships, calm your nervous system, and reconnect with your own voice and sense of self.
I’d be honored to join you on your journey to healing and living a more fulfilling and meaningful life.

I look at how your experiences, environment, and development all shape the way stress and pain show up in your life. Maybe it’s through overthinking, seeking validation, or tension in your shoulders. However it appears, it’s all connected—and it all matters.

In the beginning of the therapeutic process, I typically suggest attending sessions once a week or biweekly to build the therapeutic relationship and gather your story. However, this is entirely up to you and we can work collaboratively on how often therapy might be helpful for you. Throughout the duration of therapy, I typically see my clients moving from biweekly, to monthly, and then to as needed.

It's entirely your choice. Some clients appreciate ongoing support from a therapist, while others might focus on a specific issue and then take a pause. I check in with clients at regularly to make sure they continue to receive a sense of meaningful support and progress in their work.
